Miguel Bermudez

Optical Dispenser

Originally from Mexico, Miguel moved to Australia with a desire to perfect his English, experience a new way of life and embrace the adventure of meeting new people. He has since made the beautiful Gold Coast home and brings more than 10 years of experience in the optical industry to the Vision Michael Hare team.

Miguel graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry in Mexico in 2013, drawn to a profession that brought together his interests in health science, technology and styling. His background includes clinical optometry, contact lenses, patient education and preventive eye care, giving him a wealth of knowledge and experience that he now brings to his role as an Optical Dispenser.

At Vision Michael Hare, Miguel helps patients find lenses and frames that suit their individual needs and lifestyle. He particularly values the personalised approach of independent practice, where there is time to build genuine connections with patients and ensure they feel understood and well cared for.

For Miguel, one of the most rewarding aspects of working in optics is helping people better understand their eye health and the importance of preventive care. He loves knowing that the right advice and optical solution can make a meaningful difference to someone’s vision, comfort and everyday life.



Outside of work, Miguel enjoys keeping active at the gym, exploring museums and taking relaxing walks in nature. He is also very at home in the kitchen and loves cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
