Michael Bevan

Optical Assistant

Michael became an optometrist in 1981 and ran several practices in Melbourne before selling them in 2012. After years spent travelling, teaching in Brazil and Italy, and working as an NDIS support worker, he returned to the Gold Coast in 2024 and joined us as an optical assistant.

He brings global insight, patient empathy, and good humour to the team. When not helping out in the practice, you might find him driving for Uber, planning his next adventure, or sharing stories from his fascinating journey in and beyond optometry.
