Meagan Huxtable

Optometrist 

Meagan began her journey in eyecare at just 16, joining the VISION Michael Hare team while still in high school. Fourteen years on, she has now completed her Master of Optometry with distinction, and we couldn’t be prouder to officially welcome her as one of our optometrists.

Her experience across every corner of the practice is hard to beat. From optical dispensing and advanced imaging to lens advice, frame repairs, stock control and even the occasional flat-pack cupboard, Meagan brings technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a warm, can-do attitude to everything she does.

Clinically, Meagan has developed a strong interest in dry eye support and truly enjoys helping patients find solutions that improve eye health, vision and comfort. Thanks to her many years of practical experience, she’s also a go-to for lens recommendations, patients often leave with options they didn’t even know were possible.

She loves being part of a team that’s supportive, skilled, and genuinely cares and she’s passionate about delivering patient care that’s thoughtful, informed, and genuinely helpful.

Outside of work, you’ll find her crocheting, puzzling, or watching a Lord of the Rings marathon. She shares her downtime with her partner Adam and their tiny (and muchadored) mini dachshund, Moose.
