Louise Verschaeren

Optometrist

Louise has been part of the Vision Michael Hare team for over five years, but her journey started long before that, as a patient. Inspired by the care she received, she set her sights on a future in optometry, drawn to the blend of clinical care, problem solving, and genuine human connection.

She holds a Bachelor of Vision Science and has now completed her Master of Optometry with distinction. Louise loves empowering people to feel confident in their vision, combining thoughtful clinical care with personalised advice, whether it’s frame styling, lens recommendations, or contact lens solutions tailored to daily life. She has a particular interest in contact lenses and enjoys making the eyewear journey approachable, supportive, and reassuring.

Warm, down-to-earth, and relatable, Louise values being part of a team that genuinely supports each other and always goes the extra mile for patients.

Outside of work, she’s usually outdoors with her very spoilt Chihuahua, Chewie—short for Chewbecka (a girl Chewbacca 😄).
